California residents and residents of certain other US states have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of their personal information. This page explains that right and how to exercise it with Brazen.AI.
Your right to opt out
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (collectively the “CCPA”), and equivalent laws in Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon, and Montana, you have the right to direct a business not to sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You will not be discriminated against for exercising this right.
What “sale” and “share” mean under California law
Under the CCPA, “sale” means selling, renting, releasing, disclosing, disseminating, making available, transferring, or otherwise communicating personal information to a third party for monetary or other valuable consideration. “Sharing” specifically refers to disclosing personal information to a third party for cross-context behavioral advertising, whether or not for consideration. Common examples include the use of advertising cookies and pixels (such as Meta Pixel and Google Ads tags) on a website that is open to advertising partners.
Brazen.AI does not sell personal information for monetary consideration. To the extent we use third-party advertising tags on our website that are interpreted as “sharing” under California law, you can opt out using the mechanisms below.
How to exercise this right
You can opt out in any of the following ways:
- Open cookie preferences on this site and toggle off the “Marketing” category. The opt-out applies immediately to advertising tags loaded on subsequent page views.
- Send a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser. Brazen.AI honors a valid GPC signal as a request to opt out of the sale and sharing of personal information for the browser instance that sends it. You do not need to take any other action.
- Email us at privacy@brazen.ai with the subject line “Do Not Sell or Share Request”. Include your full name, the email address tied to your account or recent inquiry, and your state of residence so we can verify your request and apply your opt-out across our systems.
We will action verifiable requests within 15 business days for opt-out and within 45 days for related know/delete/correct requests, with one extension as permitted by law.
Authorized agents
You may authorize an agent to submit an opt-out request on your behalf. We may require written proof that the agent is authorized to act for you, and we may require you to verify your identity directly with us before acting on the request, except where the agent provides a power of attorney that satisfies California Probate Code § 4000–4465.
We do not knowingly sell or share data of minors
Brazen.AI does not knowingly sell or share personal information of consumers under the age of 16. Where we become aware that we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.
